This year May Day was on Friday 1st May and Fowlers Troop and the Deptford Jack in the Green were in Deptford and Greenwich.

2014 was the 30th anniversary of this incarnation of the Deptford Jack in the Green. Here is a picture from 1984 with Rodger Molyneux-Roberts at the front, Chris Pugh behind and Mo Johnson carrying the Jack:
In 2013 May Day fell on Wednesday 1st May and Fowlers Troop and the Deptford Jack in the Green visited Deptford and Greenwich. This was the route (the timings were probably out by about an hour!):
12.00 Depart from Dog and Bell, 116 Prince St London, Greater London SE8 3JD. (pub will open at 11.00),
12.45 Rose and Crown, 1 Crooms Hill, Greenwich, London SE10 8ER,
13.45 Star and Garter, 60 Old Woolwich Rd, Greenwich, London SE10 9NY,
14.25 Plume of Feathers, 19 Park Vista London, London SE10 9LZ,
15.25 Richard I (the Tolley), 52/54, Royal Hill, Greenwich, London, SE10 8RT,
16.10 Ashburnham Arms, 25 Ashburnham Grove, Greenwich, London SE10 8UH.
Most of the route is on public streets but between the Rose and Crown and the Star and Garter we processed through the Old Royal Naval College and between the Plume of Feathers and the Richard I, we processed through Greenwich Park.
Dressing the Jack took place the night before, Tuesday 30th April 2013 at the Dog and Bell, from 8pm. Thank you to those who brough flowers to decorate the Jack, which as always were very welcome.

Hastings Jack in the Green:http://www.hastingsjack.co.uk/prog.html celebrate their 30th anniversary this year and we joined them in Hastings on Monday 7th May 2012. Jack travelled to Hastings on Saturday 5th May and was reflowered on Sunday 6th May. Fowlers Troop and the Deptford Jack in the Green brought up the rear of the procession from Hastings Old Town up to the Castle.
